DENTAL CARE
SOKS, Save Our Kids Smiles, conducted by the Department of Health is a new program which means children in Kindergarten and
Grades 2, 4, 6 & 8 attend an assessment (screening) once a year.
Parental consent is required for the assessment to be carried out, each child is given a letter detailing the results.
Parents & children are asked to visit the new Mudgee Community Clinic, located at the Hospital, if treatment is required. However, if
you are concerned about your child's teeth or they are in pain please contact the Clinic on 6372 7290.
HEAD LICE
It is very likely that your child will come in contact with head lice while at school. Constant checking is necessary combined with
immediate action if nits or lice are found.
