On behalf of the P&C Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and existing families, as well as visitors to Mudgee Public School.
The P&C Committee is a band of proactive volunteers who strive to improve the academic and social education of the students through events and fundraising activities. We work closely with a very dedicated staff to ensure our goals and objectives support the requirements of the school. For example, in 2008 and 2009 we proudly used approximately $40,000 of the funds we have raised to ensure that every classroom has an interactive whiteboard.
Throughout the year we hold a number of events which both parents and students can take part in. Some of these events include: Trivia Night, School Discos, Mothers’ & Fathers’ Day stalls and Working Bees. This year we are holding a Monster Raffle with the ultimate prize being a family trip to Hamilton Island.
We are also strongly aware of our social responsibility and attempt to support community events such as Australia Day, Anzac Day and other local charitable organisations.
We are always ready to welcome new committee members to our great team. We meet on the first Monday of every month in the school library, so drop in and see what makes this committee one to be proud of.
