School Council

The Mudgee Public School Council allows for formal school community participation in the planning & governance of the school.
In addition to this it also seeks to foster closer links between the school and its community.

Some of the key issues the School Council looks at are:
Determining the aims and educational goals of the school;
Identifying local educational needs and priorities;
Assessing the school’s financial needs; and
Presenting and promoting a positive image of the school in the local community.

The School Council is made up of:

  1. The Principal;
  2. The President of the Mudgee Public P & C;
  3. Four parent members elected from the Mudgee Public School community;
  4. Three staff members elected from the teaching & non-teaching staff; and
  5. One community member appointed from the local community.

The School Council meets approximately 2 times per term.
