Excursion K-6

Mudgee Public School has a long history of using field trips and overnight excursions to enhance the quality of students’ learning experiences.

The excursion program is as follows on a year to year basis. Additional excursions usually occur for sporting and cultural groups. In 2006 and 2008 the school has taken their performing arts groups on a performance tour of other centres to showcase their talents in dance, band and singing.

Kindergarten

  • Town Library.
  • Red Hill Environmental Education centre. Teachers visit our school for a fun day of activities learning about Environmental Education.
  • Dubbo Zoo Day trip.

Year One

  • Town Library.
  • Red Hill Environmental Education Centre. Children travel by bus to Gulgong to sample aspects of colonial history.

 

Year Two

  • Town Library
  • Red Hill Environmental Education Centre. Children travel by bus to Gulgong to study environmental issues.

 

Year Three

  • Overnight excursion to Red Hill Environmental Education Centre at Gulgong.
  • Town Library

 

 

Year Four

  • Two night overnight excursion to Sydney.

 

 

Year Five

  • Visit to Goldfields                                (Bathurst or Hill End)

 

 

Year Six

  • Three night overnight excursion to    Canberra and the Snowy Mountains.
