Mudgee Beginners

One of the final components for transition to Primary School is Mudgee Beginners. The program enables Kindergarten teachers to meet the children and assess individual needs and school readiness prior to the new school year. The program is a fun and easy way for the children to become familiar with the school environment, staff, other students and routines.

Children attend Mudgee Beginners once a week for a one and a half hour session for a period of 5 weeks. The lessons are organised in an actual Kindergarten classroom and involve stories, craft, singing, pre-reading and number activities as well as tours of  different areas of the school and its facilities.

At the end of the 5 weeks the parents are invited to an information session, a small performance from the children and to have morning tea with the P&C and the teachers.
