You can order online or place your payment in the envelope.
Whether ordering online or by cash or cheque, the envelope must be returned to the school.

GULGONG EISTEDDFOD – MUSIC SECTION

Our school will be performing at the Gulgong Eisteddfod Music section on Friday 25 May 2018. The following groups will be involved: Infants, Junior and Senior Choirs, Support Unit Groups, Percussion group and Senior Band

  •  The cost of the excursion is covered by the voluntary contribution, which you have already paid.
  • Support Unit musicians, Primary Percussion group and Senior Band will depart from Mudgee Public School at 9.30am and Infants choir, Junior Choir and Senior Choir at 11.00am.
  • Travel will be by bus to Gulgong and will return by 3.20pm
  • All students need to be in full MPS winter uniform.
  • Students are also required to take their school hat, morning tea, lunch and water bottle in their school bag.
  • Please note that under eisteddfod rules NO PHOTOS OR VIDEOS of any performances are to be taken in the hall. Group photos are usually taken in the park outside.

GULGONG EISTEDDFOD – CHORAL VERSE SPEAKING SECTION

  • Your child’s class has been working hard to learn poems to perform in the Choral Verse Speaking section of the Gulgong Eisteddfod on Monday 21 May 2018. The following classes will be involved: 3OH, 3C, 3W, 5C, 6M, 6A and 5/6B.
  • The cost of the excursion is $5.00.
  • Buses will be leaving Mudgee Public School from 9.30 sharp to start at Gulgong Memorial Hall from 10.15 am. Year 3 will leave first followed by Year 5 and 6 classes.
  • Travel will be by bus to Gulgong and will return by 2.15pm.
  • All students need to be in full MPS winter uniform. Hair accessories are to be navy blue or gold to match our uniform. White socks with black shoes are also to be worn.
  • Students are also required to take their school hat, morning tea, lunch and water bottle in their school bag.

Gulgong Eisteddfod – Choral Speech

  • This excursion has been planned for the following classes: KH, KC, KB, 1W, 1C, 1R, 2S, 2L, 1/2T and 2E
  • The cost of this excursion has been covered by the voluntary contribution.
  • The class will depart from Mudgee Public School at 9.15am and return by 3.15pm.
  • Travel will be by Bus.
  • Accompanying staff are teachers of the above classes. We encourage all students to participate.
  • Full winter school uniform including a sun-safe hat and sunscreen is to be worn to this excursion. Hair accessories are to be navy blue or gold, navy stockings or socks with black shoes.
  • Kindergarten students are asked to bring their recess packed in a labeled paper bag and all other students are required to take their bags with recess, lunch and a water bottle.

Infant’s Disco

This Thursday May 17 is set down for the Infant’s Disco for 2018. The Kindergarten students are from 5.00pm till 5.45pm and the Year 1 and 2 students from 6.15pm to 7.00pm. The P&C are providing dinner from the canteen between 5.45pm and 6.15pm, a note has been sent home for dinner to be pre-ordered. Admission to the disco is $3.00.

NAPLAN

Students in Years 3 and 5 will undertake the NAPLAN tests at school. The Writing and Grammar/Punctuation tests will be held on Tuesday, Reading on Wednesday and Numeracy on Thursday. Friday is the day students can catch up should they miss any test. Attendance is important in the lead up and during these tests to ensure students are well-prepared for the process. Results are sent to parents at the end of Term 3.

Thank you to those parents who returned the note prior to the holidays. We still welcome replies. Please see your child’s teacher if you need another note.
Parents attend with their child for a fun, interactive afternoon of Reading and Writing activities.

Rugby League v Gulgong

  • This is a 13 a side game played against other schools on separate days until we are beaten.
  • There will be a training Tuesday afternoon 08/05/18 at 3:30-4:30pm.
  • Your child needs to bring his mouthguard and boots in his bag on Thursday for the game.
  • Transport will be by school bus to Gulgong. The game will start at 11am and will be finished by 12pm approx.
  • Please send $2 with permission note to cover transport.
  • We expect a very hard game so any support will be greatly appreciated.

Mothers Day Stall

Mothers Day stalls will run at school Thursday 10th and Friday 11th so students can choose a special gift to give for Mothers Day. Gifts will be priced at $1, $3 and $5 and children will be taken to visit the stall in class groups. Thank you to all our volunteers for helping to run the stall. Happy Mothers Day from MPS P&C.

School Anzac Service

This Friday our School will hold our traditional ANZAC Service in the School Hall at 10.30am. Parents and community members are welcome to attend. Students are requested to bring flowers which are placed on the School’s ANZAC memorial after the service.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher interviews are on Wednesday March 28. Interviews last for 10 minutes and will run between 3.30pm and 6.30pm. Each teacher will also add some extra times they are available. These interviews will be for the mainstream classes with our Support Unit already holding meetings with parents.
