Stage 3 T20 Cricket

A group of 41 from Stage 3 students will be heading to Glenwillow oval to participate in a gala day of 8 a side cricket. Teams will play 5 games of cricket over the course of the day.

NAIDOC Week Activities

There are a number of activities scheduled for NAIDOC Week including a performance by visiting artist Sean Choolburra. There will also be an opportunity for students to participate in Aboriginal games and try a crocodile or emu sausage cooked on the BBQ.

Cricket NSW Visit

Cricket NSW will be coming to our school to speak to the students about participating in junior cricket. Two current players from the NSW cricket team will be present to address students from years 3-6.

2017 Kindergarten parents information night is being held in the Infants Hall starting at 5:30 PM. Child minding in available. Come and find out about the the exciting thing that will happen. See you there!

KINDERGARTEN RED HILL ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE VISIT

  • Kindergarten will participate in a Green Day Activity – ‘Let’s be Eco Spies’. The day will focus on the biodiversity of native flora and fauna, threatened species and human impact. The activity will be carried out on the school grounds.
  • The cost of the visit is $6.00. Money must be paid by Friday 11 March.
  • Sports uniform including a sun-safe hat is to be worn to this event.

CRICKET MATCH MUDGEE PUBLIC SCHOOL -V- CUDGEGONG VALLEY P.S.

  • Play cricket against Cudgegong Valley Public School at Walkers Oval Mudgee on Wednesday March 9, 2016.
  • Both the boys and the girls teams will be playing at the same time.
  • The team will depart from Mudgee Public School at 9.30am and return to Mudgee Public School at 3pm.
  • Travel will be by school bus. The cost will be $1.00 per student
  • Accompanying staff members are Mr Westcott and Mrs Endacott.
  • Boys - White cricket trousers and the school’s sports uniform shirt are to be worn to this event.
  • Girls – The school will provide cricket trousers. Girls just wear their sports T-shirt.
  • Students are also required to take their cricket bag, plenty of water, sunscreen and a packed recess and lunch. A sun safe hat is also to be worn on the day.
  • Parent helpers are more than welcome to stay and help with scoring and supervision.

SOFTBALL TRIALS & TRAINING

Mudgee Public School will once again enter a Girls Softball team into the PSSA Softball competition this year. The Divisional Day will be held in Mudgee on Friday 1st April. Trials for selection into the Girls Softball team will be held after school next Tuesday 8th March between 3:30-4:30. If selected, it is hoped that your daughter would be able to attend training each Tuesday afternoon straight after school until 4.30pm in lead up to this competition. For those girls wishing to be considered for inclusion in the team but unable to make the trials alternative arrangement will be made. I will be coaching the girls’ team again this year.
