Parent-Teacher interviews are on Wednesday March 28. Interviews last for 10 minutes and will run between 3.30pm and 6.30pm. Each teacher will also add some extra times they are available. These interviews will be for the mainstream classes with our Support Unit already holding meetings with parents.
The visiting Questacon Science Cricus will be at Mudgee Public on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 March. A note will come home shortly for those students who will be required to pay to attend. The visit is covered for those that have paid the voluntary contribution.
Say NO! to Bullying – National Day of Action is officially set for Friday 16th March 2018 however at Mudgee Public School we will be celebrating on THURSDAY 15th March. The children are asked to wear an orange accessory to school on 15th March e.g a ribbon, sock, wrist band, bowtie, bandanna etc with their FULL school uniform to show their support for this event. Throughout the week the children will be engaging in many class based activities including taking the Mudgee Public School Anti-Bullying Pledge. The children will all be involved in creating various combined art works for display around the school also.

Kindergarten are participating in an environmental science activity – ‘Let’s be Eco Spies’. The day will focus on the biodiversity of native flora and fauna, threatened species and human impact. The activity will be carried out on the school grounds.
The Incursion dates are Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th March.

Sports uniform including a sun-safe hat is to be worn to this event.
The school Captains, VC and sports Captains and VC will travel to Sydney with Mr Mac and Mrs Baddock on Sunday 11th March where they will head out to Manly Beach before coming back to Cockle Bay for dinner. The following day they will head to International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour to attend YLD 2018. There they will listen to inspirational Australians and International guests as well as take part in leadership activities. We will return home Monday night around 7:30pm.
This opportunity to meet your child’s teacher for 2018 is scheduled for Wednesday February 21. The evening commences at 5.15 pm where teachers will run the first of two information sessions in your child’s classroom. A BBQ will follow at 6.00pm and then a second class session at 6.30pm. A note was sent home last week to indicate your attendance.
The BBQ is provided with a gold coin donation covering the sausage sandwich and drink. This is paid on the night.
Mrs O’Brien has coordinated the entries of students into each particular race. Parents and carers are very welcome to come Wednesday and support their child during the carnival. The Zone Swimming Carnival is set down for February 28 at the Gulgong Pool for students who make this level.
