Mudgee Public School P&C are a group of focused volunteers assisting our school and raising funds to provide resources and equipment for all our children and staff.

One of the things that makes Mudgee Public School such a great place is our active, friendly school community. We want to make sure every family (especially new ones) has the opportunity to get involved. Volunteering at school is a great way to meet new people and your kids get a kick out of seeing you, or any other special person at school.
We have hundreds of families attending Mudgee Public School and many are new to the school this year. We would be extremely grateful if every family could nominate to do “just one thing”.
A calendar of events is available here and our volunteer form is available by clicking on the button below. You can register your availability on this form specific to the dates and events you are interested in. Please fill out this form and tick one box (or more if you wish) and enter your contact details. A P&C representative will then be in touch so you can assist with any P&C run event as it approaches. A copy of this form will also go home with the newsletter. Please return any hard copy forms to your class teacher.

Mudgee Public School P&C
Term 2 is about to end. A mufti day is being held last day of school Friday 30th June to help support a couple of families who have found themselves in difficult and unforeseen circumstances over the past 2 weeks. We are sending the families our best wishes and supporting them through this difficult time. Please bring along a gold coin donation on Friday 30th June - thank you.
Primary Athletics was held 8th June at Walkers Oval. Thanks to Kylie Manners and the P&C volunteers who co-ordinated the Canteen on the day. The students had a great day and made excellent food choices at the Canteen with fruit salad cups running out the door. Well done students.
Thanks continue to all for supporting the P&C and the school with fundraising initiatives and ongoing assistance. These things are not possible without the help of volunteers and volunteering is certainly a tiring and thankless job.
Our Canteen is an ongoing work in progress. Much is being done around aligning with the new Healthy Foods Canteen Policy. Surveys have come back and we would like to thank those for their feedback. It is not too late to return a completed Canteen Survey. You can email to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop into the Front Office. You can print a form if needed from the link on this page found in the right hand column. We appreciate all feedback and would love to hear your comments. All changes around this new Policy will be effective to start the 2018 school year.
Coming up in Term 3 is Grandparents Day, Fitness Fundraiser Walkathon and our Crazy Camel Fundraiser to name a few P&C events. If you are able to help out please let us know. You can email email@example.com
School returns for Term 3 Tuesday 18th July. Students return wearing winter school uniform.
If you are able to help out at all throughout the year we would love to hear from you. Volunteering for one event does not mean you have to volunteer for everything. Our P & C Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the School Residence at 2pm. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see fresh faces and hear new ideas.

If you are not able to attend meetings but would still like to be a member of the P&C and receive monthly minutes you can. Our P&C Fundraising Group always works hard towards obtaining funds to assist many different areas of our school. The Fundraising Team this year led by our Fundraising Co-ordinator Rochelle McDonald has a number of events scheduled for 2017. All volunteers are welcome as many hands make light work. If you are interested in volunteering you can complete our volunteer form by clicking the button at the top of the page "I want to volunteer".
Some of these fundraising events include canteens at sporting carnivals, fitness fundraiser and crazy camel to name few. Our goal this year is to raise enough funds to start replacing classroom air conditioners. Air conditioners were installed in all classrooms around 12-14 years ago by the P&C at that time. We are now seeing these air conditioners reach the end of their lives and with the hot weather we experienced at the beginning of the year it is vital we have conditions in our classrooms appropriate for effective learning. As always the P&C will continue to support other initiatives such as our healthy schools canteen policy, school spectacular and the Healthy Harold Van to name a few. We appreciate all your support in our fundraising to help make our school a great place for our children.
We are developing our "cook from scratch" initiative further in line with the new Healthy School Canteens Policy. The new policy is targeting the issue of childhood obesity. Public school canteens in NSW are now required to meet the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy outlined by NSW Health and follow the Nutrition in Schools policy.

We’d like to know if you are able to help cook in the Canteen and what items you would like to see on the menu. Please take the time to complete this survey and return this form to your class teacher as soon as possible. Alternatively you can access the survey here.
We have an amazing and very busy canteen here at the school. To keep up the great service to our children we would love some more volunteers, so if you have any spare time even for an hour, your assistance would be much appreciated. Please contact Kim Stubbs our Canteen Coordinator on 6372 1095 or 0427 722 669 between 9am and 2pm Monday to Friday.
Mudgee Public P&C have a New & Used Uniform Shop in the old canteen near the Primary Hall. The uniform shop is open every Thursday from 2.45 - 3.45. Any donations are appreciated and can be dropped into the blue bin at the front office. For enquiries phone Dakota on 0432298731.
January 2017 saw our uniform shop open during the school holidays and sales went through the roof. To compliment this we introduced an Eftpos facility which had not been available previously. A solution has been found to place an on line shop on our school website. Work has commenced to get this up and running and an announcement will be made once finalised.
