Mudgee Public School P&C are a group of focused volunteers assisting our school and raising funds to provide resources and equipment for all our children and staff.

One of the things that makes Mudgee Public School such a great place is our active, friendly school community. We want to make sure every family (especially new ones) has the opportunity to get involved. Volunteering at school is a great way to meet new people and your kids get a kick out of seeing you, or any other special person at school.
We have hundreds of families attending Mudgee Public School and many are new to the school this year. We would be extremely grateful if every family could nominate to do “just one thing”.
A calendar of events is available here and our volunteer form is available by clicking on the button below. You can register your availability on this form specific to the dates and events you are interested in. Please fill out this form and tick one box (or more if you wish) and enter your contact details. A P&C representative will then be in touch so you can assist with any P&C run event as it approaches. A copy of this form will also go home with the newsletter. Please return any hard copy forms to your class teacher.

Mudgee Public School P&C
We are moving quickly into March. The next P&C meeting will be Monday 13th march 2pm in the Residence and the Canteen meeting will be Tuesday 14th March 2pm in the Canteen. All welcome. Please come along and share your ideas.
Parent/teacher interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 29th March. A note will come home with time slots available.
Term 1 PBL assembly is 10.30 Friday 7th April in the school hall. Parents and carers are welcome to come along and see the children receive their awards. The P&C will be holding a Coffee & Hot Cross bun stall outside the Canteen so please bring along your gold coins.
The Easter Hat Parade 11.45am Friday 7th April immediately after the PBL assembly at 10.30. A Coffee and Hot Cross bun stall will be held by the P&C so please bring along your gold coins to enjoy a coffee while you watch this great parade.
Our uniform shop is going on line. We are researching ways to open an on line shop for ordering and purchasing. We are also investigating opening the uniform shop at other times to compliment its current opening hours on a Thursday afternoon. We will announce the grand opening as soon as all is finalised. Watch this space...
And 7th April brings us to the end of Term 1. Happy Holidays!
The P&C are currently working on their events calendar for 2017. There are some great ideas in the making such as a fitness fundraiser, trivia night and our usual coffee stalls and cake baking. If you are able to help out at all throughout the year we would love to hear from you. Volunteering for one event does not mean you have to volunteer for everything. We'd like to ask that each family volunteer for "just one thing" and we can share the load. A copy of the calendar for events involving the P&C is available here.
Our P & C Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the School Residence at 2pm. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see fresh faces and hear new ideas.

If you are not able to attend meetings but would still like to be a member of the P&C and receive monthly minutes you can. Our P&C Fundraising Group always works hard towards obtaining funds to assist many different areas of our school. The Fundraising Team this year led by our Fundraising Co-ordinator Rochelle McDonald has a number of events scheduled for 2017. All volunteers are welcome as many hands make light work. If you are interested in volunteering you can complete our volunteer form by clicking the button at the top of the page "I want to volunteer".
Some of these fundraising events include canteens at sporting carnivals, trivia night (which will be our major fundraiser for 2017), fitness fundraiser and crazy camel to name few. Our goal this year is to raise enough funds to start replacing classroom air conditioners. Air conditioners were installed in all classrooms around 10-12 years ago by the P&C at that time. We are now seeing these air conditioners reaching the end of their lives and with the hot weather we have been experiencing it is vital we have conditions in our classrooms appropriate for effective learning. As always the P&C will continue to support other initiatives such as the Kitchen Garden Program and school groups such as school spectacular and the Healthy Harold Van to name a few. We appreciate all your support in our fundraising to help make our school a great place for our children.
Next Canteen meeting is Tuesday 14th March 2pm in the Canteen. All welcome, please come along and share your ideas. We will be discussing our Winter menu and how best to incorporate our "cook from scratch" initiative.
We have an amazing and very busy canteen here at the school. To keep up the great service to our children we would love some more volunteers, so if you have any spare time even for an hour, your assistance would be much appreciated. Please contact Kim Stubbs our Canteen Coordinator on 6372 1095 or 0427 722 669 between 9am and 2pm Monday to Friday.
2016 saw us reduce the number of items in the canteen which contained preservatives and move to a "cook from scratch" approach. This was very successful and our menu listed home cooked foods such as spaghetti bolognese, potato bake, nachos, soup and more. To maintain this and to add more items cooked form scratch we need volunteers to cook. Commitment would be one morning on a fortnightly or monthly basis during term time. Mudgee Public P&C have a New & Used Uniform Shop in the old canteen near the Primary Hall. The uniform shop is open every Thursday from 2.45 - 3.45. Any donations are appreciated and can be dropped into the blue bin at the front office. For enquiries phone Dakota on 0432298731.
January 2017 saw our uniform shop open during the school holidays and sales went through the roof. To compliment this we introduced an Eftpos facility which had not been available previously. We are hoping during Term 1 to open an online shop for our school uniforms as well as open during other holiday periods. This will help with orders where parents are not able to get to the school when the uniform shop is open. Order forms will be available here and a link to the online shop will also be available here.
